Barrett Oswald Designs is a nationally recognized interior design firm, celebrated for our ability to craft elevated yet inviting homes. Since 2015, co-founders Barrett Oswald and MaryBeth Long have led our team in creating spaces where beauty and functionality coexist seamlessly. Located in Larchmont, NY, we proudly serve clients across Greater Westchester County, Fairfield County, New York City, and beyond.

Principal Designer & Partner
Barrett Oswald’s passion for design runs deep, tracing back to her teenage years when she fearlessly mixed toile wallpaper with boy band posters in her bedroom. Over the years, her style evolved into a refined yet approachable aesthetic that continues to guide her work today. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, Barrett’s early career included styling a commercial oceanfront condominium in Florida, where she honed her ability to merge beauty and functionality seamlessly.
As the principal designer of Barrett Oswald Designs, she is known for her keen eye for detail and talent for creating spaces that reflect the unique personalities and needs of her clients. Barrett’s signature style blends textures, patterns, and styles to craft interiors that feel both elevated and deeply personal.
Outside the studio, Barrett draws inspiration from everyday life, whether she’s spending quality time with her husband and sons, exploring design trends on Pinterest, or hunting for treasures at HomeGoods. Her approachable demeanor and creative vision have made her a trusted name in the world of interior design.

Director of Business Relations / Partner
MaryBeth Long brings a strategic and creative perspective to Barrett Oswald Designs as Partner and Director of Business Relations. Before joining the firm, MaryBeth honed her planning and analytical skills as the Manager of Legal Recruiting at a top-tier law firm in New York City. With a degree in Economics and Art History, she strikes the perfect balance between style and functionality, always keeping practicality and budget in mind.
MaryBeth’s journey into interior design began when Barrett transformed her home into a calm, contemporary sanctuary that met the demands of raising two young daughters. Inspired by this transformation, MaryBeth joined forces with Barrett to bring that same sense of harmony and purpose to clients’ homes. Known for her organizational skills and eye for detail, MaryBeth ensures every project runs seamlessly from start to finish.

Interior Design Assistant
Before joining the team, Martha held various roles across several residential and hospitality firms in Manhattan. Her love of math and the arts led her to pursue an MFA in Interior Architecture, where she learned the importance of effective home design to suit the individuality of each family's needs.
Although she lives in Manhattan, she loves experiencing the fresh air and abundance of beautiful homes in Larchmont. Martha spends her spare time searching for gems on 1stDibs, antique shopping around the city, and volunteering at the ASPCA.
